# The Invoice Planner

> Invoicing, AI bid drafting, and cash-flow planning for freelancers, agencies, and tradesmen. Local-first by default (works offline), with optional cloud sync across iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and the web. Free during beta.

The Invoice Planner is a cross-platform app for service businesses that bill by the job. Core capabilities: create branded PDF invoices (four types — proposal, paid-in-full, down payment, recurring); draft estimates with AI from a plain-language job description ("AI bid drafting"); manage customers and payment history; plan the week on a color-coded calendar with an on-site drawing canvas; accept card payments on invoices via Stripe. Data is stored on-device by default and exports to JSON/CSV; cloud sync is optional.

Privacy posture: local-first; the AI bid drafter sends only the job description, city/state, and currency to the AI provider — never customer names or emails — and inputs are not used to train the model (zero data retention).
